Meet Emjae

So, what’s my story?

Hi, I’m Emjae – a lover of coffee and words! I have a B.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication and I’ve worked in the Digital Marketing industry for almost a decade… It feels weird every time I say that!

I got started doing social media content production before I even graduated from university and it felt like the natural next step after graduation. While I loved the experience, something felt missing but I wasn’t sure what exactly.

A friend of mine started blogging on the side and asked for my help. I dove right in. Throughout university, I had contributed to blogs and a local newspaper and I had seriously missed long-form writing. The more projects I worked on with her the more I realized that this was what I was missing.

The blog content I was producing was educational and informative. I got to do in-depth reviews and create guides that helped people. It felt amazing to be able to do that. I decided then that this was my purpose – to use my writing to help others overcome a challenge.

Imposter syndrome quickly set in though. What could I possibly teach anyone? What was I good enough at that anyone would want to listen to me? My partner kept pushing me toward marketing but I resisted. I wasn’t really that good, I didn’t have enough experience.

All this after working with the top brands in my company for 5 years… Yeah, imposter syndrome had me in a chokehold. I won’t go into detail about every little step that it took to get me to this point but… here I am. I finally worked up the courage to put myself out there and share what I know.

It’s scary, it’s exciting and I can’t wait to see where this goes!

So, who am I? I’m a content writer who has a passion for words and a need to share what she knows with others.

What do I have to offer?

Besides puns and cheesy jokes, I have close to a decade of digital marketing and writing insight to share. I’ll do this through my regular blog updates, weekly emails, and additional resources like worksheets, templates, and short courses.
